Jimmie Mayfield is a mullet-headed manchild, a 30-year old man going on 18. He hasn't found his groove in life; not in his career, not in love, not in anything. Jimmie believes that he is destined for greatness, but has no idea what that means or how he is going to get there.
Living with his mother in a dilapidated trailer at the Pleasant Meadows trailer park in the coastal town of Englewood, Florida, Jimmie's life is a series of missteps. Review:I really had a hard time putting this one down. From the first pages, I was drawn into Jimmie's world, full of relatable friends, self doubt and familiar awkwardness. I became so engrossed in his character that at times I had a pit in my stomach waiting for the hammer drop, because guys like Jimmie don't catch a break.
Troy Young has created a fantastic protagonist and surrounded him with well developed characters, whose odd connections had me pondering many times how things were going to go sideways. I love this aspect of Troy's writing style, because it kept me wanting to dive deeper down the rabbit hole.
I am normally a nighttime readers - getting through two or three pages before drifting off. Thank goodness I started reading on a Friday, because I was up half the night and polished it off the next day. I highly recommend it.

Review:All I can say is wow! This book got me from page one and never let go. The characters introduced were all intriguing and wonderfully brought to life by the author. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and am looking forward to reading more from Mr.Young.

I didn’t get bored for a single second reading of this fascinating story!
The character of Jimmie Mayfield is endearing, the story with his friends is sympathetic and the unforeseen events are captivating.

These few pages will not appeal to everyone, (no book does), but many will find it worth their time.
